HMF Releases New Polling in AZ-01, CO-08, and VA-01

New polling comes after HMF’s ad campaign highlighting how House Republicans are threatening health care for nearly 80 million people
Washington, D.C. – House Majority Forward released the results of its surveys of constituents in AZ-01, CO-08, and VA-01 looking at the favorability and approval ratings of Reps. David Schweikert, Gabe Evans, and Rob Wittman, respectively.
The results come after House Majority Forward’s launch of an ad campaign in 23 congressional districts across the country urging constituents to tell their Members to protect Medicaid.
House Majority Forward’s survey found the favorability and approval ratings of Reps. David Schweikert, Gabe Evans, and Rob Wittman are underwater:
Rep. David Schweikert (AZ-01)
- Only 26% of Rep. David Schweikert’s constituents have a favorable opinion of him (26% favorable – 47% unfavorable).
- Nearly half of Rep. David Schweikert’s constituents disapprove of his job performance (28% approve – 47% disapprove).
- More than 60% of Rep. David Schweikert’s constituents oppose his vote to cut Medicaid to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy (18% support – 63% oppose).
Rep. Gabe Evans (CO-08)
- Less than one-third of Rep. Gabe Evans’ constituents have a favorable opinion of him (32% favorable – 36% unfavorable).
- Only 29% of Rep. Gabe Evans’ constituents approve of his job performance (29% approve – 37% disapprove).
- An overwhelming majority of Rep. Gabe Evans’ constituents oppose his vote to cut Medicaid to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy (22% support – 60% oppose).
Rep. Rob Wittman (VA-01)
- Only 28% of Rep. Rob Wittman’s constituents have a favorable opinion of him (28% favorable – 35% unfavorable).
- Less than 30% of Rep. Rob Wittman’s constituents approve of his job performance (29% approve – 35% disapprove).
- More than 60% of Rep. Rob Wittman’s constituents oppose his vote to cut Medicaid to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy (21% support – 62% oppose).
