HMF Releases New Messaging Guidance on Argentina Bailout
October 30, 2025
Washington, D.C. – House Majority Forward today released new research revealing overwhelming opposition among voters to Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout to Argentina and deep concern that the Trump administration is prioritizing foreign bailouts over urgent domestic needs like lowering healthcare costs and supporting American farmers.
Since House Republicans began their weeks long vacation, Leader Hakeem Jeffries has sharpened this line of attack as “corruption in real time” – and those efforts are increasingly effective. These messages consistently test in the top 90%, proving to be a real weak point for President Trump and House Republicans.
This week, Mike Johnson refused to answer questions about the Argentina bailout.

According to HMF’s latest polling:
Blue Rose Research, 10/16–10/19 and 10/25–10/27, 9,966 Responses
- Voters overwhelmingly oppose the bailout and believe the Trump administration should prioritize domestic issues instead:
- Baseline opposition to the bailout stands at 62%, vs. only 15% support. And notably, only 27% of Trump voters support the bailout.
- More than 80% of voters believe the Trump administration should prioritize domestic issues, like preventing healthcare premium increases, over the bailout.
- Messages that contrast the Argentina bailout with rising healthcare costs are some of the most effective messages tested this year:
