An affiliate of House Democrats’ super PAC is launching new TV ads hitting Republicans on their debt ceiling proposal, tying the GOP to the threat of default.

Washington, DC – The nonprofit arm of House Majority PAC is launching a new television ad campaign tying house Republicans to the threat of default, furthering Democratic attacks on Kevin McCarthy’s debt ceiling proposal and the House GOP’s approach towards budget negotiations.

This is the first TV ad buy from the group attacking Republicans on the debt ceiling. Speaker Kevin McCarthy has released a proposal that would raise the debt limit by $1.5 trillion, or through March of next year – whichever comes first – ensuring that President Joe Biden would have to relitigate the issue during an election year.
