New House Majority PAC/SEIU Poll Finds Mark Critz Leading Keith Rothfus in PA-12
July 16, 2012
Washington, D.C. – A new poll conducted for House Majority PAC and SEIU found that Democrat Mark Critz is leading Republican Keith Rothfus 44 percent to 38 percent in a general election matchup.
“Whether it’s his support for ending the Medicare guarantee, for protecting tax breaks for companies that ship American jobs overseas or for giving tax cuts to millionaires while increasing the tax burden on the middle class, Keith Rothfus has an extreme agenda that western Pennsylvanians are clearly rejecting,” said Alixandria Lapp, Executive Director of House Majority PAC.
“Working people are for Mark Critz because he has shown that he understands the needs of working people and their families, and he is willing to stand up and make sure they have a voice in Congress,” said Sandy Williams, a nursing assistant from Johnstown and SEIU Health Care Pennsylvania Member. “We need a representative who will work to make sure job creation is priority number one, and who will stand with working people, not the elite one percent.”
The poll was conducted July 9-11 by the Benenson Strategy Group of 400 likely general election voters in PA-12. It has a margin of error of 4.9 percent.
